Job Description
Our client is looking for two experienced Code EC (Code 14) Driving Instructors to join their driving schools based in Giyani and Malamulele, Limpopo. The successful candidates will be responsible for training learner drivers according to K53 standards and ensuring safe and professional driving instruction.
Responsibilities
- Train learner drivers according to K53 driving standards
- Teach vehicle safety inspections including tyres, lights, oil, water, brake fluid, and licence disc (pre-trip inspection)
- Train learners in yard manoeuvres (Alley docking, Straight line reversing, Parallel parking, Three-point turns, Incline starts)
- Train learner drivers for road and freeway driving (Gear selection for heavy vehicles, Lane discipline, Safe following distances, Mirror and blind-spot observation, Hazard awareness and defensive driving)
- Prepare learner drivers for the K53 driving licence test
- Schedule lessons and communicate with learners regarding appointments and test bookings
- Maintain records of learner progress and performance
- Evaluate learners and advise when they are ready for testing
- Adhere to professional standards and code of conduct
- Maintain punctuality and professional behaviour
- Provide accurate information to learners regarding procedures and pricing
- Balance the cash drawer daily and prepare bank deposit
- Ensure training vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and well maintained
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Valid Code EC (Code 14) driver’s licence with PrDP
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Code EC driving instructor
- Good driving record
- Clean criminal record
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to work weekends
- Registration as a driving instructor (Grade A, B, or C) will be an added advantage
- Good facilitation and presentation skills
